Being Creative at Schloss Bärenklau – Working in a Castle Atmosphere

A House for Ideas – Living and Working at Schloss Bärenklau

Schloss Bärenklau offers space for new ideas, exchange, and artistic work. The listed building features studios, living quarters, modern bathrooms, barrier-free access, an elevator, as well as an event and concert hall.
With its planned fellowship and support programs, Bärenklau is a place of creativity, focus, and encounter – a retreat for young talents and cultural creators to work, live, and connect.

Color, Figure, and Support

Since March 2025, Ali Görmez has also been presenting his colorful works in Berlin-Mitte – at his gallery in Reinhardtstraße 37. The pop art artist, born in Bielefeld as the son of Turkish migrants, is particularly committed to children and young people. With the support of the LIVING BAUHAUS Art Foundation (SbR), he completed training as an art therapist in 2019. Today, he regularly works with schools and kindergartens to foster young creativity – and in doing so, also encounters himself. The foundation has been supporting his exhibitions and projects for years and includes works by Görmez in its collection.
